Dr. Fan received his MD from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1999 and completed his PhD in Pathology at Case Western Reserve University in 2009. Following postdoctoral training at the Cleveland Clinic, he joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013 and has since risen to the rank of Richard Chamberlain Professor with tenure. Dr. Fan's research focuses on tissue vascularity and immunity and radiotherapy in cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
