Janna Heide

M.D.
Janna obtained her medical degree from the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), Germany, where she conducted research on the epitope mapping of antigen-specific T cells in Plasmodium falciparum and SARS-CoV-2 infection. Supported by a fellowship from the German Research Foundation (DFG), she continued her research at the University of Chicago in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, investigating how cancer-associated fibroblasts suppress T cell–mediated immunity. After her return to Germany, Janna plans to pursue residency training and research in internal medicine at UKE.
